Hello, I'm Maya.

My journey to becoming a curly hairstylist began at the age of 13, sparked by my personal experience with natural hair and a love for connecting with others on an individual level.

When my mom handed over the Sunday wash, detangle, and braid-out routine, I found myself navigating the world of natural haircare through countless YouTube videos and trial-and-error experiments. As it turns out, sleeping with coconut oil-soaked hair isn't the best idea—I learned that the hard way!

These experiences motivated me to become a valuable resource for those eager to not only master their curl care but also explore the creative boundaries of their style. After completing Federico’s cosmetology program and obtaining my license, I honed my skills under various specialists in curly hair, color, and cutting techniques. I took classes from industry leaders such as Saco, ZGAT, Evan Joseph, Camille Janae, and more.

My primary goals are to equip clients with the knowledge and tools essential for success in their hair journey and to maintain a commitment to ongoing education in my craft.
